Rediscovering Singapore

What do you do when you are stuck in the city of Singapore during the Chinese New Year holidays with limited funds (hint, payday is still at the end of the month)? Well you can mope in your room and watch movies or you can do what I did, head out, have fun and rediscover the city where I have lived in for the past 3 years.

I am delighted to discover that there is so much more to the city aside from the ubiquitous skyscrapers and shopping malls. There are still plenty of green spaces where you can unwind and commune with nature.

Contrary to what I originally believed, Singapore also does not lack culture. It may be a young republic but it does have history, although not as long or as outstanding as those of the Greek or Egyptian civilizations. Suffice it to say that Singapore still has a lot to offer, even for someone who has been living in the country for 3 years.

Check the pictures I have taken during my recent tour around the city during the quiet Chinese New Year holidays.
